Terry Prosser

Terry started playing brass when he was 11. Before the days of peripatetic music teachers the local band conductor was given a shift off from the local colliery to teach in the school. He was soon joined by his younger brother and started with Blaina Youth Band and since then the two of them have devoted a lifetime to the Brass Band world. Terry has played in Blaina, Markham, Ebbw Vale, BTM & Tredegar Town bands over the years playing a wide range of instruments and now plays Bb Tuba.
He has performed in many venues, leisure centres, churches and theatres all over the UK including the Birmingham Symphony Hall and the Albert Hall and they have all given him that special buzz that bringing music to an audience gives. A member and committed supporter of Abergavenny Borough Band he sees it as his final resting place in the Brass Band world.
