Richard Shorey
Richard started playing cornet at the age of 10 for Severn Tunnel Band. After playing until he was 13, he took a break of around 37 years, only picking the cornet up again after his daughter Erin took up a brass instrument.
Since then Richard has been playing with Abergavenny Youth Band, helping the young players and joining them at rehearsals and concerts. He has taken his grade 1 exam and has helped out other local bands playing at local concerts.
Richard has been a member of Gwent Charity Brass for many years now and he is looking forward to the warm hospitality of the Menorcan people.
