Quike Muñzo Llopis
Enrique, (Quike), was born in Mahon, Menorca in 1971. At the age of 21 he joined the Spanish Ministry of Defence where he still works today. In January 2022 he received a medal for many years of dedicated service.
He has always had a fondness for music and has been the president of the Giants and Grallas of Es Castell since 2014. He has also played the drum for a long time as centurión de San Cornelia, in the Holy Week processions in Mahon. It was during these processions that Quike first saw Gwent Charity Brass. His passion for learning to play a Brass instrument led to him approach Reverend Paul Strudwick, who introduced him to Lana and Jonathan on their summer vacation 2018 to ask for tuition. Quike worked hard and made his debut with Gwent Charity Brass in San Lluis in Easter 2019. He has continued to make great progress and is now the proud owner of a new Bach Stradivarius Trumpet.
Quike is looking forward to joining Gwent Charity Brass for some of their concerts this Easter. He will be supported in the audience by his wife, Elena and son, Julio, both also musicians, and his lovely mum, Lali.
