Elizabeth Miller
Elizabeth plays Tenor Horn in the Gwent Charity Brass and is a proud member of Abergavenny Borough Band. Born in 1995 into a banding family in Lancashire, she was always involved but purely as a spectator. Dance and Drama where her first loves, she passed several exams and featured in as many productions as she could. This resulted in Performing Arts being her major 6th form studies.
When she was 8 years old the Friezland Band, which her mum conducted, needed a timpani player for the Area contest at Blackpool. Poor Elizabeth got the job, even though she could barely see over the timps! Since then a lot has changed.
The family moved to South Wales and Elizabeth began tuition on the Tenor Horn with Gwent Music Service. Elizabeth was a member of Greater Gwent Youth Choir and had the honour of singing for Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to South Wales. She was a proud member of the Greater Gwent Youth Brass Band, which represents South Wales in contests and concerts.
Elizabeth has been to Menorca so many times that she considers it home from home. Menorca is somewhere she is always more than happy to visit either playing concerts for Rotary or on holiday.
